The first institution for blind people in Slovakia was founded in 1922 in Levoča. Since then it has undergone several changes. The name of the school has changed as well.

Today it is a modern primary boarding school which provides education for blind and visually impaired children.

We maintain the principles of democracy and humanism in our educational system, as well as the new ways and methods, respecting the needs of our children with focus on improvement of their sight.
